New Painting - How it Starts, and Almost Finished

Here is a new painting i worked on this weekend between eating carbs and chocolate in every form imaginable, and dealing with the current nervous breakdown my kid is giving me ... you can see in a couple of photos how i rough out the painting which i did last weekend, and how it is today after darkening in the background. I actually copied another painting I had done just like this but all in pink... I wanted to try the same painting with a dark background... If you're interested in painting, I think you should try, you might surprise yourself. And if you have any questions about the process, I'd be happy to talk to you about it... I love talking about painting.

  1. Fabulous talent you have!
I had my young son in oil painting and pencil sketching. He did an amazing night painting . He really enjoyed it but then we moved across Canada. Right now he is in piano and theatre but I hope to get him back in art again.

Carbs and chocolate always help me!

  3. I love looking at the painting taking shape. It is cool to see it in the other colorway as well. And yes, someday I will be painting, just not yet, but it is something I have wanted to do forever.
