Hi Guys!

Everytime i come over here to do a blog post, i get distracted by all the stuff you have going on and then i run out of time!

Good golly molly, ya'll are some interesting and talented friends!

Of course then there's Pinterest which can suck me in so bad...
and Facebook, with kitten and puppy videos and cool decorating ideas
i don't even do instagram or twitter and i'm still overwhelmed
Social media is crazy right now, there are so many things!
i'm not even sure what i think about it at all...
how do you guys prioritize your social media stuff!!??

Anyway, I've been crazy busy at work, so there is no time to goof off and read blog posts... and then i come home from work, and me little Daisyboo dive into the warm bed for a quick little nap, and then Mr. Fractured gets home from work, and then before i know it, it's the next day and back to work!

Sure would be nice to be a millionaire so i could work a little less

Do ya'll ever fantasize about what you'd do if you won the lottery?  It's a really fun game to play...

Ok, so i'm just gonna chatter on and show some pics since i don't have anything even remotely important or profound to share...

Here is a horse painting i am working on today...
I have to let it dry some before i do more to it

and i'm not exactly sure what i might add to the painting,
some queen annes lace at the bottom left?
 a pink bridle?
nothing?
sometimes simple is the best
anyway - just not sure yet... i'll have to live with it a while

now check out this insanely wonderful, shabby, adorable sofa!

It's at one of my favorite shops in the world
"Salvage Sisters" in Burlington, NC
it's not really for sale, it's for renting for weddings and stuff...
I'm so renting this when and if me and Mr. Fractured get married

I know ya'll probably thought we were married, but we're not yet

Every spring i get all gushy and start thinking about planning a small wedding with wildflowers and twinkle lites
all kind of hippie and fairieish...(new word)
and then it never fails, one of his or my ADULT KIDS will have a crisis (mine) or move back in our house 3 - 9 months for one reason or another ( his)

and then we both end up so emotionally disturbed from the whole experience
that we don't get married

Mr. Fractured's kids are "perfect"
my kids are, how do we say it, uhhhh challenging

 see my face -
that challenging !
this is probably after a phone call from my daughter
actually could be a call from my son too

Plus i can't even plan something 15 minutes ahead of time

so the whole marriage thing is just too daunting  for me

I have the dress, i have the rings... and that's it so far

*******
Ok, i told you this was going to be a random bunch of stuff so there's more...

Here's another little painting i just finished

I am calling it "night light"

because white flowers just glow at night

anyway I wasn't sure if it was any good

but my friend liked it
so now i like it

Isn't that stupid
that i don't know whether to like something unless someone else does
what is that?

It does look pretty in her shop
especially with all the white and gray goin on...

It's not big, so if anyone wants to buy it, i don't think shipping would cost too much
it's $225.00

Ok, check out these paint colors
aren't they pretty!

I am DYING to paint something in a soft lavender
 I got the idea from
"Bella's Rose Cottage"

Her house is painted in this heavenly lavender and everytime i see it i want my house to be all in lavender too

wouldn't one of these colors be gorgeous with a cream stencil on top

kinda like Michele at "Hello Lovely" did in her magical little closet room
you should go see, it's soooo pretty

Also been busy mailing out prints!
Lots of trips to my printer, proofing prints and then to fedex after work

Now i just have to show you two things from Pinterest

Look at this lantern - oh my gosh - isn't it wonderful!

sorry, i couldn't track the source on this one

and this dresser
love it to death...
love that shabby brick wall behind it too...

So you see, at least half of this blog post is about stuff ya'll are doing!

You're so smart and talented and inspiring!
 I'm serious!

and i know i talked about 50 different things in this blogpost
sorry!
it's just that I haven't talked to you in so long
and there are so many things i want to ramble on about

I am really curious though...
How DO you prioritize your social media stuff
there's so much of it!

and now luckily Mr. Fractured just came home and spared you even more random meanderings!

...the end...

  1. Wooohhh- Cindy...you are SUCH a talented artist. I just love that horse. He is perfect without another brush stroke. You have captured his "mood" beautifully.
One of these days you will just flat up and throw that wedding dress on -call a few people- and go get married. It was so wonderful to see a post from you here tonight. Love all the little random things- xo Diana

  2. Wow you have been busy Cindy, the horse painting is absolutely beautiful, I want to reach out and stroke its gorgeous flowing mane. You are so incredibly talented. I also love the rose and the pretty glass vase, I haven't yet tackled painting glass...come to think of it the only thing I have painted for a year is furniture. I am getting there slowly, almost ready to start painting my little office/painting studio and de-clutter it for a new start. I think it is because I am still living in clutter I cannot paint.

I so love that sofa and I can just see you sitting on it in a bridal gown, I do hope you get your plans sorted for a lovely wedding, then you can hire the pink cadillac to drive you off into the sunset :)

  3. I love your posts. You are right--it is hard not to waste time on Facebook--but then if I don't get on I feel so uninformed.
I think marriage is just a state of mind so do what you feel like :) I love your face when your kids call.
Your paintings are so gorgeous--if the economy gets better I would think you could make a living with them!

  4. whoa! You are so funny! Great way to start off my morning reading your post. I find fb, pinterest, blogging sucks me dry too. I need to somehow find balance because my family starts complaining when I am on too long.
I love your paintings and wish i could! I know exactly what you mean about needing someone to like something of yours before you do...totally get that. But why???
I want that sofa, chandy and dresser!!!!!! Oh i see that stuff on Pinterest and go crazy.
So after listening to you go on about your kids i tell myself to be happy that i just got one and he is easy peasy.
    Have a great day Cindy!!!

  6. loving this post so much. there's so much beauty and heart and fracturedlovely radiating right through the screen. it's def a love hate thing with social media and online life in general. i hate it. i need it. i'm addicted to it. i wanna trash it all. here's where i'm at: still don't do insta or pinterest. i know i would get addicted. used to be addicted to FB then took a 3 yr break. now it's just to promote the blog and post pics for my mom. i hate being a slave to my cell phone. it gives me anxiety and when i have hours away from it, i'm so much more relaxed. i want to become amish i think. your wedding can happen when the time feels right. that lantern...i have a place near me that sells such things imported from europe. so gorgeous. i know your style so well, and i have stuff that i would give you this very moment that i'll be parting with when we downsize (another story). so we just have to figure out how to get it all to you. thanks for the shout out btw! and lastly, tell me the dimensions of the painting. would love to buy if it will work in a little room i'm re-styling. :) also let me know if you have anything else similar. you is da bomb. smooch.

  7. You are the most charming person ever. Evah! I love reading your posts because you are so funny and tell great personal stories that everyone can relate to. yes, even if they don't admit it they relate. we all relate to you my beautiful talented friend. Love your horse painting, i would be afraid to ask what to do to it, cuz then maybe someone might offer a suggestion that is DUMB or misguided and then it would be ruined!! So do what feels right, as I am sure you will anyways...xo

  8. As I gazed on your beautiful horse (love her!), the first thing that popped into my mind was to maybe add a sprig of lavender hanging from her mouth like she was chewing on it? Just a thought! :) [that way, you could use that pretty lavender color you like...:) ]

I don't do Twitter or IG yet because I'm behind the times with my phone. So it's just blogging, Pinterest, and FB for this girl. It's enough just to keep up with those! lol

If I won the Lotto, I would love to become a philanthropist. Wouldn't it be such a blessing to give all that money away to deserving people? :)

Well, you've got a great start on those wedding plans, girlie! :) A boho wedding would be sooo beautiful - and fun! You've just gotta tell those kids that you're going to do it come h*** or high water! lol I can only imagine how gorgeous you would be as a hippy bride amidst those twinkle lights. :)

Ok...off to bed for this gal. I soo love visiting here with you, my talented friend! Always so much fun!

    xoxo laurie

  9. "Well THERE she is!" <-- my first thought when I saw your updated post on my blog feed.

Of course I'm loving the horse painting! I still need to get that huge horse painting you did, my white beauty Buttercup, framed, haven't done that yet! One of these days I'm going to get one of your sheep giclees. I still want one! That floral painting you did is gorgeous, I can just imagine how much it glows.

That sofa! *drops over dead* Is so drool worthy! Thank you for sharing with us, it's good to see you posting again!

  11. Oh Cindy, darling...
As I read, and yet involved with your life, I felt so compelled to hop on a plane and knock on your door saying I am here to help you plan your wedding, (no stress included)
Your plans should not be interrupted by another thing, mishap, or commotion in your life!
Just say no! to any drama and let your beautifully unique children figure out there game!
It's your time now, and they have all the time in the world to figure out their plans.
But, I must say you do have a way with life, and you charm it in such an entertainingly way you make all the chaos so amusingly funny, to the point that it kind of reminds me of what I go through at times with my son :) and I am so glad I am not the only one out there dealing with such.

Your paintings do I have to talk about them again? I am out of words, I could go on and on in how amazing they are, and oh so moving. Raised with horses your painting moves me, and I think it's perfect as it is. I wish I had its beautiful mane of hair on my head :)
Infact it has your beautiful mane come to think of it.

Cindy, I am here for you girl, I also will help push you down that hippie wedding isle :)

Loving every bit of you girl, know one inspires a day filled with beauty, drama, and calm as you do.
Thank you for all the support you add to my blogging, it's bloggers like you that help us get through what most of us are afraid to write about, you my friend just spells it out and I adore and love you for it.

  14. I totally LOVE your randomness!!! :0) OH..and YES, you HAVE to make the peach dumplings on my blog...totally to die for!!! I was thinking of making them again tonight, but decided I didn't have enough ice cream, and I really NEED ice cream to go on top of them! ha!
Hey...my front door is that pretty dusty purple color...and I adore it! It looks to good with so many holidays! I decorate with silver and purple on the outside of my house for xmas, so it really looks good with that. OH..and lets just not even get into how cute it looks at Easter! lol
I like your horsey painting.........kinda ethereal and floaty feeling. Pretty. :)
We need to have an emailing session...I feel like I haven't talked to you in a month of Sundays! We just had an ice storm last night...about 1/2" of ice on everything...it's gorgeous outside! I'm enjoying being stuck inside the house in my pjs. :) My son is sitting here beside me doing math as I was looking at your blog...and he saw some of your paintings on here, he said, "hey mom, that looks like the flowers in that painting in your kitchen". :0) He recognized your work! I told him you had painted me the roses, and he said, "wow, she gave you a nice gift". I agree...it was such a precious gift, and I will never get over how generous and precious you are! Love ya much!

  16. Gosh---I just love it when you chatter Cindy!!! I just love you to pieces and that photo of you is so darling! I don't even know where to start on commenting on this, so I will just say I LOVE your new paintings. GORGEOUS!!! and as far as managing social media...I hardly ever get to use it because I can't find the time and I still have a 'dumb' phone so it's just not handy to do it.
I am always in awe of your painting Cindy. You are SO gifted!!!! I'm so thrilled that we are friends.
    sending hugs from me...
