Don't You Just Love Looking At Other Peoples Houses!? I Sure Do,.. Come on In and I'll Give You a Little Tour...

This is where I paint...

Ummm... This is my sweethearts bedside table...
I painted the "dream" over the bed, it's a little crooked, kinda like me... I'm debating painting that bed, or even covering it with fabric, any suggestions???

I Love my new Le Savior Faire pillow!
Real life here, Ted has a gajillion guitar cords and connectors and gadgets!

Ok, my thousands (two) of followers... Time to fling the Christmas tree out the front door, and get on with it. Good bye to ThanksHallowWismas!, Hello to the days getting longer! Before you know it, it will be February, and the little daffodils will be poking their heads up through the ground. In the meantime, come on in my house and snoop around a little. It's just a little house, not that fancy, but we like it, and I'm am learning so much about decorating from you guys. I have a gabillion ideas in my head about wall colors and tufted headboards and chandeliers, and mirrors and hutches and hardwood floors and farmhouse sinks, which is a great, except that a lot of it takes time and money, of which I have very little. Along with all these ideas and projects and trying to do three things at once, it becomes obvious to most anyone who is around me any length of time that I most likely have a form of adult attention deficit disorder so severe that it is amazing I'm not on high doses of something. And of course my fiancee thinks I'm insane, because of the strange things I bring into the house... like tree branches and things with paint peeling off, and of course there was the Magnolia leaf heist when I made him drive the getaway car... but I think he likes me anyway. Soooo... that was obviously a ramble... here are a few pics of places in my house, some cute corners, and some messy real life stuff....

Wishing All You Amazing, Talented, Funny and Crazy Blogger Ladies, A Wonder Filled Holiday !

I can't even count how many times this lovely greenery and these fake white poinsettas have blown off this arbor because i was waaay too impatient to wire them on it... i guess i must like standing out in the freezing cold numerous times putting it all back together, and running around in my neighbors yards picking up poinsettia peices !

some pink paper stuff in a cloche...

Wishing You all A Wonderful Christmas..... and Try Not To Let Your Loved Ones Give You Bleeding Ulcers...

ribbon randomly wrapped around a silver vase... just because...
the last rays of sun hitting the tree... i like that

Apparently I went a little crazy with the pink... it's just in me... I can't help it.

Here's Another Cute Christmasy Idea

There is a shop where I live that has the most amazing vintage, shabby chic, gorgeous and EXPENSIVE stuff. One year, the owner took these tall glass containers in different heights, and filled them with peppermints and put them right smack in the middle of a farmhouse table, and it looked phenominal! Just sparkled with the glass and the red pepperments. I copied her with these glass containers you find at TJ Maxx and Marshalls all the time for $9.99 up to $12.99, and peppermints and ribbon from the Dollar Store... I'm sure hers cost alot, but mine sure didn't. The taller one's ( what do you call these things)??? are the most gorgeous of all... Makes a striking Christmas gift too.

Glitter and Brown Bags With Handles

So... I bought these stockings at the dollar store because my 20 year old daughter told me the funnest part of her Christmas when she was little,.. was the stocking I stuffed full of goodies... My kids are older, so the past few years I haven't put out stockings... But this year i decided it would be fun. I was wondering what would be a good way to personalize them, and I came up with this. Then i started thinking, you could do alot of cool things with these bags... you know, the ones with the little handles....

I Need Some Pink in My World!

This is a little thrift store tree i bought a couple of years ago... It's the cutest raggedy little tree, but i really like it, and i miss having pink around... I think I'll find a place for it again...

How Many Of You Have Decided You Wanted To Move Your Tree After It Was Fully Loaded With Decorations!?

Ok, so, of course, AFTER the tree was all decorated, i decided it needed to be in the dining room, NOT the living room... So i lifted it up , with ornaments dangling, getting caught in my hair, and cord dragging the floor, and i moved it, thank you very much... I found these cool mercury glass/rusty iron candle holders at TJ Maxx for around 12.99, and this awesome silver ball garland, for $12.99, and now i think that looks just fine.... and I think i'm finished..... for now...

Twinkle Branches and Vintage Door

I love these little twinkle light branches. The rest of the branches are some that i ripped off of some poor unsuspecting tree..... They have some twinkle branches similar to mine at TJ Maxx right now less than half the price that i paid for these, which makes me crazy... Of course i left my glass with diet coke on the table when i took the photo... it's funny what one can tune out... probably from having kids.

This is my favorite old vintage door fluffed up for Christmas... sorry about the bad lighting, it's dark when i go to work in the morning and when i get home... sigh...
